London Offerings

Resonance, Connection and Creativity in the city

London is a living hub for fertile musical encounters and an amazing diversity of cultures and offerings.

The Singing Village offers spaces for sharing, creating and learning in community. It aims to help people to unwind from the intensity of daily life in a big city and find quality time for creativity, joy, playfulness and self development.

From my home base in London, I host Enabling Singing Villages- the biannual training for vocal leaders- as well as other regular workshops and vocal improvisation activities.

Training for Vocal Leaders

Throughout these four day non-residential training in London, a group of song leaders will have a chance to explore together and deepen the understanding of different forms and models of spontaneous collective song, including collaborative vocal improvisation and circlesinging.

Is this for me?

If you work with people’s voices in choirs, singing groups, therapeutic, community or ceremonial settings, this training will offer you different ways to incorporate vocal improvisation into your practice. Regardless of the capacity and experience of your participants, Circlesinging and Collaborative Vocal Improvisation are gateways to foster connection and community, unlock creativity and vocal skills, and transform the resonance of any group of singing humans.

They relate to ancestral ways of making music, where every voice counts, and encourage playful, deep and enriching learning processes. They invite people to develop their musicality and expressiveness together, in a shared space free of judgement.

The diversity of participants in the trainings contributes to an alchemy of fruitful exchanges. Experienced singers stepping into leading others in improv learn alongside confident facilitators willing to develop their improvisational musicianship, therapists and ceremony leaders with their knowledge of human nature and intuition learn to create in-the-moment material.

This variety of skills helps everyone to cultivate different ways of learning and become more capable, rounded and flexible, more confident in experimenting and inviting ‘singing villages’.

The training also offers everyone keys into developing their personal practice as vocal improvisers. This is an essential skill set to ‘walk the walk’ as vocal improv leaders, and to enrich their vocal and creative palette.

Singing Village Lab

Fortnightly sessions held in North London

A space for intermediate and advanced vocal improvisers to share their voices and creativity, refining their practice and building community.

A chance to hang out and improvise together in a supportive group with a shared focus, similar skills and confidence, and yet alongside wildly different humans.

The exercises and games in the sessions are designed to help everyone to develop their musicality and the many different skills of the vocal improviser: listening, creative, relational.

We’ll focus on:

-The body and movement as starting places and ways to support connection and resonance

-Vocal freedom, flexibility, authenticity and exploring all the possibilities of our instrument

-Developing our unique, confident voice as soloists

-Expanding rhythmic vocabulary and musical precision

-Creating strong musical contexts for melody (harmony-mode)

-Playing with many possibilities of words, invented language, and syllables

-Exploring musical form: shapes and structures, the compositional aspect of improvisation

One-to-One

My work as a vocal mentor is personalized and holistic, addressing physical, emotional, and mental aspects of singing. After years of teaching vocal technique and repertoire, I'm especially focused on helping individuals explore their unique voice, particularly through spontaneous music- making and vocal improvisation.

I’m passionate about nurturing creative, intuitive, and body-centered approaches that allow singers to explore the many potentials of the human voice and connect with their core sound and musicality, fostering self-expression, free vocal play, and self-discovery.

I mainly work with singers and musicians interested in vocal improvisation, supporting soloists and group leaders in educational, therapeutic, or ceremonial settings. Each one-on-one session is a dialogue where students guide the work, exploring both their own ideas and my suggestions.

Together, we uncover and transform (sometimes this requires ‘unlearning’) what gets in the way of free, easeful singing, unlocking creativity in the process. Through songs, vocal exercises, and improvisation, we build new awareness and enhance musical and expressive potential.

I aim to create a space where each student feels heard, supported, and encouraged, helping them grow in alignment with their essence. Sessions become a fertile ground for self-discovery, transformation, and skill development, whether for beginners or seasoned professionals seeking fresh perspectives.

Singing Village Experience

For singing groups, organisations and events

Singing Village Experiences combine spontaneous collective singing, movement, rhythm and human connection games. These can be one-off sessions, workshops or ice-breakers for events. Guillermo’s clients range from established singing groups to schools, NGOs and other organisations. Occasionally he brings the ‘singing village’ to a birthday party or wedding.

The Singing Village brings back ancient ways of making music in community. Flowing between music-making and play, and leaving aside words, can transform the quality of relationships between singers and give people a new taste of belonging.

Guillermo leads different forms of collective singing, including circlesongs, encouraging participants to joyfully share resonance and movement while expanding their responsiveness and awareness.

He brings a unique musical blend from his Argentine and Eastern European roots, jazz and Afro-Latin influences, combined with his study of Asian, Middle Eastern, and African traditions.

A Singing Village Experience nurtures vocal and interpersonal bonds, offering everyone the experience of breathing together and sounding as one, bringing freshness, aliveness and energy to any group of people.

Vocal Ensemble Coaching

If you're part of a vocal ensemble or practice group that engages in improvisational singing, either through CVI or circlesinging, this is a chance to take your skills to the next level.

I am passionate about supporting established vocal ensembles and improvisational groups, acting as a sounding board, a supportive witness, and an active participant in their creative process.

By participating in rehearsals and improvisational sessions, he will introduce new musical structures and prompts, help to strengthen the energy and clarity of the material, and encourage instant collective composition. He will also provide real-time feedback and written suggestions, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to foster the growth of both the music and the connection.

'Intuition and deep knowledge, simplicity and complexity are mingling in Guillermo’s one to one online sessions. A beautiful way of learning while enjoying, the sessions are built according to the needs of participants, the exercises and tools are both precise and playful. The labs are an amazing invitation to dive deeper into practicing and creating. Feeling both listened and supported. Thank you!'
