vocal artist facilitator trainer
Welcome!
I am a vocal artist, facilitator and trainer from Argentina based in the UK. I’ve been researching, teaching and practising different forms of vocal improvisation for the last two decades. The Singing Village sums up my pedagogy and philosophy.
I celebrate every human's innate musicality and potential to be a part of meaningful musical interactions. The relationship between spontaneous singing, deep listening, human connection and the well-being of the individual, the collective and the planet.
My experience as a performer spans 35 years as a Jazz, Latin American and Argentine Tango vocalist, with many albums and collaborations along the way. These influences, alongside my immersion in diverse traditions of music around the World, inspire the rhythmic and melodic flavours of the music that I make and teach.

The Singing Village
The Singing Village is a term that emerged through my experiences with groups of vocal improvisers, to describe the many ways to relate, co-create and access spontaneous collective song.
The Singing Village includes experiences of vocal improvisation for individuals, singing groups and choirs, and a variety of collaborative vocal improvisation and circlesinging retreats and workshops worldwide, for all levels of singers.
Enabling Singing Villages: Training for Facilitators
I began offering training for facilitators and vocal leaders in 2016. They are now called Enabling Singing Villages. These formations have been supporting hundreds of facilitators and vocal improvisers worldwide to bring circlesinging, collaborative vocal improvisation and other forms of spontaneous collective song into their communities.
Mentoring and Coaching
I‘m also passionate about coaching and mentoring individuals. The process of accompanying and inspiring people through their unique journeys in voice, creativity, transformation and leading others. These can include voicework, vocal improvisation, somatic explorations and reflection.
Singing Villages at Work
The Singing Villages at Work are voice, embodiment and vocal improvisation activities for organisations and businesses. They provide tools for individual and collective transformation and support wellbeing in the workplace.

“Guillermo’s approach to teaching vocal improvisation transcends traditional methods, blending musicianship with a sense of spirituality, deep listening, and community. His unique way fosters a space where expression and skill intertwine, creating an environment that is as nurturing as it is challenging. What sets him apart is his ability to hold space with grace and empathy. He encourages each of us to explore our voices in ways that feel both safe and exhilarating. Under his guidance, vocal improvisation becomes more than just a practice—it transforms into a journey of self-discovery and communal connection.”

“Your musicianship is so rich and varied - it's a wonder to watch and listen as these exquisite musical ideas seem to effortlessly fall out of you, but what really touches me is witnessing how you draw out each person's innate and unique musicality with such skill, kindness and presence.”
BM, Spain
“Watching you hone in on each individual, and our specific needs, gifts and perceived limitations, encouraging new ways of meeting ourselves and our music, is such a potent gift to receive.”

“Thank you for a wonderful time at the training, and for opening me up to different approaches. I'm so excited about my journey in leading vocal improv. Inspired by your teaching I’m full of my own ideas. Brought some to my group - everyone said it was the best session I'd ever led.”

“What a journey you took us on...you brought us to a place where expression could be true and deep, there was a different sense of collectivity, with aliveness and play. I am left with a sense of wonder…a week later, I still feel that the magic is working its way through me.”
